Starfleet captain Jean-Luc Picard, as portrayed by wonderful actor Patrick Steward, is probably one of my earliest childhood heroes. Even today, I admire his principled style of leadership.
Here is a little animation of my painting process. I started out with a drawing that was way off, forcing me to re-paint big areas of the face very late in the process. In the end however, I’m quite happy with the likeness I achieved:
